Title: Database Developer/DBA - Full Time Employee

We are looking for qualified candidates with experience in database administration and data modeling for electronic trading systems. GFT develops products focused on the FIX protocol and custom solutions for electronic trading.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 - 5 years of experience is required
  • Relational database experience (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL)
  • Database management experience on UNIX/Linux platforms
  • Knowledge of database design and implementation including stored procedure design and development
  • Query and schema performance analysis and tuning
  • Design and implement custom SQL queries and reports
  • Experience managing schema changes in production systems
  • Ability to grasp complex requirements and specifications, then break them down for the purpose of implementation
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously

Desired Skills

  • Designing and implementing backup/recovery procedures
  • Experience with financial systems domain modeling
  • Experience with FIX protocol
  • Experience with exchange API's
  • Experience with Futures & Options trading
  • Knowledge of financial markets: derivatives, equities, futures & options, fixed income and/or foreign exchange
  • OLAP design and modeling

Education/Work Experience

  • Degree in computer science preferred
